I should feel some guilt about this, I suppose, but I do not.

What? Were they all out of Lunchables?
I made refried beans and assembled my own burrito.

Psh, grape Uncrustables or nothing.

lol, that’s what I packed my son for lunch, the uncrustables not the rockstar lol
i’m having 2 turkey/cheese/thousand island dressing sliders on hawaiian rolls with a side of chilli fritos.
Clearly I have not gone on a diet yet.

I just can’t eat white bread, too fluffy. Dave’s killer bread 21 whole grain is my shit.

I actually had PB&J as well, but on bread machine french bread.

I suspect the Uncrustables can be fried or baked, with an end result similar to a southern “fried pie”. I need to see if the local grocery has them so I can try this.

Don’t feel bad. I have coworkers that eat like that daily. I didn’t want to leave for lunch today so I grabbed a couple of things from the fridge at home. I had chicken pot pie, Dannon strawberry banana yogurt and an acai blueberry pomegranate VitaminWater Zero.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 13:57 |

You might be able to dunk them in batter and deep fry them.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 14:05 |

See, that’s what would normally be called for, but I’m not sure a different kind of crispy wouldn’t work. One easier to prepare in this case - buttered and baked *toast* crispy.
Also, not everything needs to be battered to deep fry. These might go in a deep fryer straight just fine.

Swanky.

Those are TERRIBLE. Just terrible.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 14:25 |

While I would like to claim swanky...it’s really just because that was there. And it was there because my kids eat bread like it’s going out of style, so we bought a bread machine as an investment cuz I can make a loaf of bread for like 30 cents.

My mom occasionally does mass bakings of bread, and with a big family, she couldn’t say no when somebody offered her a second breadmaker. Then she saw an identical one to one of the previous two for like $5 and decided reproducibility was a good thing. So yeah, three breadmakers.

I’m too cheap to buy lunch every day and too lazy to pack every day. Also, I’ve lost 12 pounds since the start of September.

That’s a god damn healthy lunch if I ever saw one.
I had some lentil soup, a pear, and some nuts for lunch.

Cucumber lime? That sounds horrid.

No. I did a favor for my wife’s coworker, who happens to be
addicted
to Uncrustables, and she sent me over a bag of them as a thank-you.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:12 |

Fair enough. I eat quite a lot of PB&J (on Dave’s Killer Bread) and I will manually select Apricot jelly every time, strawberry second. I really don’t like grape jelly.

You may not live long enought to see this reply. Post a reply to Ttyymmnn sometime and ask him about Burno.

I look at that picture and realize that it’s time to go Number Two.

DK bread is the bomb. I did a favor for a friend of my wife’s and the lady is
addicted
hardcore to Uncrustables, so she brought me over a bag as a thank-you for the favor. UCs are definitely part of the White Bread Experience.

Bread machines are still a thing?

Are you lactose intolerant?
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:16 |

Maybe just put one in a toaster. In fact, I might try that...

See above.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:17 |

Not sure about the Acai thing, though. Don’t you need to bake those pot pies, like, forever at 700 degrees?
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:18 |
|
Well, you’re not too far off. I had a bag of them given to me, so these were the first I’d tried. I may try popping one in the toaster.

If you can get buy on that, then mo’ powah to ya’.

I don’t know about ‘a thing’ specifically...I’m far from an expert on what is or isn’t currently ‘a thing’, but yes, they do still make bread machines, I got mine a couple years ago. I doubt they’re as popular as they once were.

Just a touch of sugar.

No, just being a troll. I’d toss back one of those protien drinks just for dessert.

Free food is free food. If they made DK uncrustables I’d buy them for sure. In my brain uncrustables are delicious, but in reality the white bread is just such a let down you know.

My wife made a lot of bread when we were first married almost thirty years ago, and my parents thought a breadmaker would be a great idea for a Christmas present, so they spent like $300 on one and we used it maybe twice, because Mrs. O.C.’s bread was
far
superior. We ultimately re-gifted it.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:24 |

Haha normally I’m the same, but this is like drinkable yogurt it just happens to have a lot of protein. I have a hard time finishing one let alone eating anything else.

Toaster may help, but damn, they’re nasty.
My kids (the older two, 10 & 8) won’t even eat those.

Totally.

I have taken this under advisement.

Microwaveable now. We have a high powered one at work. I brought it to work frozen, took from fridge after partially thawing for 4 hours and was done in 3.5 minutes.

I have a poor diet for the most part, but a weak stomach. Which has worked out well for most of my life. I’m just into my 30's now, it’ll catch up soon if I’m not careful.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:36 |

That’s a lot of foreplay. Bag of broccoli and some Ranch dressing for me.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:39 |

I would not recommend Uncrustables and Rockstar as a regular diet. Or even an irregular diet. I’m only eating those UCs because they were free.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:43 |

Ahh, you can get some for like a hundie now, and I wouldn’t put the bread up against hand made bread, just something that’s cheaper and better than the stuff so soft you can’t even butter it without it shredding into a pile of crap.
![]() 03/02/2017 at 15:46 |

Oh I have had much, much worse lunches than the above. The only things really bad for me in that was the small portion of chips and the rolls.
Burno? Hmmmm

Went to Julie’s with buds from work! I love Julie’s - it’s really good for a cheap lunch downtown.
